We do not act for employees
Worklaw is comprised of a group of self-employed independent employment law consultants who all work from home. This means that Worklaw can charge much less than its competitors for the same level of service to clients as we do not have office overheads and expensive support staff.
A consultant is allocated to you and you deal with that consultant on a 'one to one' basis and your agreement is with that consultant.
However, each consultant is backed up by the rest of the Work Law team in the event of holidays or clashing employment tribunal hearing dates etc. If your allocated consultant is not available for any reason another consultant will take his or her place to cover your needs.
Therefore, out clients get the best of both worlds: the benefits of a medium sized company without paying for the office overheads.
Our employment law consultants have dealt with hearings in every employment tribunal in England and Wales and in the Employment Appeal Tribunal, plus employment tribunals in Edinburgh and Glasgow.
Most of our clients are small to medium size businesses. However, all our consultants have experience of advising large companies as well. For example, below is a list of just some of the well known companies our employment law consultants have acted for in employment tribunal cases (usually on behalf of insurers);
Eddie Stobarts (haulage firm)
Essex Business Link
Greene King (brewery chain)
Harvey Nichols (department store)
Hilton Hotels
Ofsted (Education body)
The Design Museum
Threshers (wine merchants)
Woolworths
Our clients get the benefit of our consultants' experiences of working for large clients and translating this experience into the requirements of SMEs.
